五道營胡同現在已經成為了北京除南鑼鼓巷、什剎海外，新興的文藝小資聚集地。胡同里有很多有意思、有情調的特色餐廳、咖啡館、小店，大半都是外國人和海歸開的，許多店主還是導演和文藝工作者，五道營胡同給人一種清靜和慵懶的感覺。
Wudaoying Hutong has now become a new gathering place for literary and artistic petty bourgeoisie in Beijing in addition to Nanluoguxiang and Shichawai. There are many interesting and atmospheric specialty restaurants, cafes, and small shops in the Hutong. Most of them are opened by foreigners and returnees.
