Saryo Tsujiri is a teahouse and seller of green tea related foods.
Green Tea Parfait Yen 1,400 (HK$105, rate 0.075) is only available in Daimaru Tokyo branch.
From
back to front and left to right, they are rice cracker (the texture is
quite similar to those of Want Want, but its back is coated with green
tea powder), green tea jelly (it has a nice and strong flavor of green
tea), green tea mousse, green tea ice cream, tea jelly, and citrus.
Though it is a dessert, overall experience is not too sweet. It should
not be missed by any green-tea and dessert-holics.
Red bean paste is in the second layer, which is chewy and tasty. Vanilla ice cream and pudding are at the bottom.
From the teahouse (on 10th floor of Daimaru Department Store), the surroundings are buildings around Tokyo Station.

Remarks:
1) Gion Tsujiri was established in Kyoto in 1860.
2) Tea bag, cake, snacks and ice cream are also available.
3) This Daimaru Tokyo branch was opened in November 2007.
4) Totally, it has 5 branches in Japan ( 2 in Tokyo and 3 in Kyoto ) and no overseas branch.
5)
In Tokyo , there is a smaller teahouse in Shiodome. The one in Daimaru
Tokyo Branch is larger in size and of better view comparatively.
6) More than 80% diners are ladies.
I
visit the new dessert teahouse of Saryo Tsujiri, Tokyo Station this
time. I have not tried its green tea dessert in the teahouse. I do have
expectation beforehand. The teahouse is full and about 50 diners can be
accommodated at the same time. For most seating, a view to nearby
buildings and signboards is available. This is already a not too bad
view in my experience.
There
are really too many options in the menu and it is not easy to make a
decision in a short time. I finally order a Green Tea Parfait at Yen
1,400 (HK$105, rate 0.075). It takes about 10 minutes to prepare.
Needless to say, the dessert is tasty and to describe as impeccable is
not too exaggerated. I do not have any disappointment at all. I guess
other desserts in the menu are also of high quality. But a dessert at ~
HK$100 should anyway not be in the category of low price. You are
recommended to have a try in your next visit to Tokyo . Bear in mind, it
will be closed at 2000.
