Bread's Court 浦安店 @ Chiba, Japan

Bread's Court is a self-service chained bakery. This one is conveniently located at Urayasu Station of Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.

Walnut Bun, Steamed Red Bean Green Tea Cake and Hot Apple Tea are ordered. The glass of cold water is served at free. The Walnut Bun (on the left) is natural in taste and is quite similar to the one in Das Gute in Hong Kong.

The outlook is not particularly alluring. But I really want to have a try and see how the taste is for a steamed cake of green tea flavor. Green tea flavor in fact is available but not too strong. Red bean is soft enough and chewy. The whole cake is not too sweet. The white stuff is sugar paste.

In the area of Urayasu Station (浦安駅), it is not like Tokyo downtown, there are not too many eateries. It is decided to have light meal at the Station. Bread’s Court is easy to locate and it is a bakery with a small café at one corner. It is a self-service cafe.

Two pieces of bun and hot tea are ordered. The steamed red bean green tea bun is lovely. Basically, breads in Japan are normally not bad in taste, if not very tasty. Together with apple tea, it is quite a good short break to recharge for the next visit.
