We are not familiar with Tai Po and just want to have a casual lunch. But on Sunday, it is not easy to have a table in Chinese restaurant. A menu on a stand outside Chuen Wu Kitchen attracts us. Besides, the restaurant is also nicely decorated, in terms of color and lighting. At least this gives us a comfortable feeling in the very beginning. This restaurant can serve 35 customers at the same time.

We in fact are not sure whether lunch set is still available on Sunday. ​​Even though it is not available, the price difference should be small. We order 3 lunch sets. Each includes a bowl of noodle, a plate of dumpling and free Chinese tea .

Shanghai noodle in soup with smoked sliced​​ fish is quite good. The fish should have absorbed sufficient soy sauce for a period but is not too salty. Meat is still juicy.

Shanghai noodle in soup with pork chop is average and has nothing special. A pity is that the Shanghai noodle is not good in taste, and there is still a smell of soda lime.

There is also nothing special for the bowl of noodle in "Shanghai noodle in soup with pickled mustard and shredded pork". In fact, the portion of noodle is not small. For a lunch set of $32, we cannot expect more.

For the dumplings, all are good in taste and still hot. The standard of dumplings is very much better than that of noodles mentioned before. Vegetable-pork dumpling is good. Steamed Shanghai baby pork dumpling is juicy but not too salty. Skin is not too thick. Pan-fried pork dumpling is already fully cooked, the base is crispy but not too oily.

In the midst of our lunch, we are not sure whether weekday price of lunch set is still applicable on Sunday. ​​The waitress said it is still applicable on Sunday, though in the menu, weekday price is available from Monday to Friday only. When we pay the bill, it is $106 for 3 lunch sets. It is too cheap (in view of food portion and combination) but delicious.

Only complaint is that the toilet is too far away from the restaurant, and is not hygienic. Maybe, because of the low price, we have not set a high level of expectation. All the foods here are already value for money.

HK$32 only for a Shanghai lunch was not believable in 2016.
