Braised Pork w/ Cuttlefish in brown sauce is one of the representative dishes in Shanghai cuisine.


This duck is delicious and the sauce is quite concentrated. This is the typical flavour of Shanghai cuisine.


Drunken Crab is divided into five pieces in advance. It is a bit salty. If not, the rating will be higher.


Dan Dan Noodle is one of the best dan dan noodles we have ever tried. Noodle texture is good or simply it is al dente. Together with the sauce, it is fantastic.


Pan-fried Pork Dumpling is a must to order in Shanghai restaurant. This is also cooked with high quality, we like it.

We have dined in LuLu before. It is a branch of the Shanghai restaurant chain in the mainland. The size of LuLu Hong Kong is smaller relatively. But on the basement of a hotel, with high ceiling, it is not noisy at all even though it is full house. The servers are nice and professional.

 

We order six dishes, which are served orderly and gradually. Though dish portion is not too large, it is anyway reasonable. We have ordered pan-fried dumpling and noodle, the overall portion is sufficient to us. A drunken Shanghai crab is ordered as well. It is marinated with Hua Diao wine, soy sauce and salt. To me, it is a bit salty. If it can be lighter in taste, it would be much better. Overall dish quality is above average.
