Pan-fried Lotus Root Cake 蓮藕餅 is suggested to order. The quality is above average.
Pig Stomach 香茜拌肚尖 is claimed to be a signature dish. But we do not
appreciate it very much; maybe, we do not know how to appreciate this
dish.
Sweet Pancake 甜薄撐 is the best item to me in the meal. It has a crispy
surface, but soft and bouncy content. We have never seen and tried it in
Hong Kong.
Steamed Turbot 清蒸多寶魚
Hui Ai Chicken 惠愛雞 has very tender meat. The chicken is immersed in
hot soup until it is fully cooked. Experience tells me that fresh
chicken in the Mainland is always more delicious than that in Hong Kong.

There are 3 Hui Ai restaurants in Guangzhou; we visit the one in Zhong
Shan Road. It is a restaurant with no splendid decoration. Its layout
seems to be a restaurant in Hong Kong 20 years before.
We
order 8 items, including Hui Ai Chicken, Roasted Baby Pigeon, Sweet
Pancake, Pan-fried Lotus Root Cake, Pig Stomach, Steamed Turbot Fish and
a green vegetable. The bill is RMB242 only. It should be at least $650
in Hong Kong
Unexpectedly,
most dishes are delicious and of high quality. We like the chicken and
sweet pancake most; these 2 dishes are not easily available in Hong
Kong. Together with the comparatively low price, it is really a meal of
value for money. It is a must to re-try next time.
