Cha
Siu & Roasted Goose (Standard) $78. Roasted goose is average in
taste, skin is not crispy this time. But a full goose leg is on the
plate, it is already very good. For Cha Siu, it should be the best we try
in Hong Kong. Pork is tender; taste and honey match perfectly. This is
not a coincidence, it should be the result of food material quality and
cooking skill. The quality is even better than that in West Villa
(although West Villa claims its cha siu to be the best in town).

Fried
Fish Fillet in Corn Sauce $75 takes about 10 minutes before it is
served. Fish fillet is fresh. One complaint is that the fillet is not
thick enough. Its thickness should be at least as thick as that in
Filet-O-Fish in McDonald's . Taste is already good, the fillets are hot and just taken away from the wok.

Kale
with XO Sauce in Iron Pot $45 is to be praised when it is served. The
very hot pot and kale are served separately. Kale has already been
slightly cooked with XO sauce beforehand. In front of us, Kale is put
into the pot, with an enlightening sound of "jie jie". A pity is that kale is not
young enough, no matter how good / complicated the cooking method is, it
is average only.

Goose Wings & Feet (Free) are tasty, and are good as snack before the main dishes are served.

Tak
Lung (TL) is quite famous for its old-fashioned Guangdong cuisine in
the catering field. It is located in a residential area, which is not
easily accessible by MTR. We have no booking tonight and are luckily
allotted to a table for 2 immediately.
The
daily menu is printed on an A4 paper, with stars below each item to
signify its attractiveness. TL also claims that all dishes are not
prepared in advance, but would be cooked after diners order them. It
then takes time to cook and is hoped the diners would understand.
We
order 3 dishes only, the bill is $235 (average spending $120). Food
taste is above average. Cha Siu (BBQ Pork) is particularly tasty.
Service is unexpectedly good (in this old-fashioned local restaurant
with no good interior decoration) , waitresses are attentive to refill tea and exchange plates. It is a
restaurant for re-try. It is suggested to dine with more persons in
order to try all signature dishes. Yes, all signature dishes.
