Deep
Fried Duck (Hangzhou Style / Half Bird) 杭州香酥鴨RMB68 is still hot when
served. Duck skin is not greasy. Meat is not dry, but juicy and tender.
It is better to eat with the special salt served separately. We appreciate the cooking skill very much. In Hong Kong, the half bird should be priced at ~HK$150.
This decoration is in fact a lamp. By putting a candle on the base,
hot air will go up and move the fan on the top. The whole body will move
like a merry-go-round. It is not for sale.
Noodle
w/ Stir-fried Shrimp and Chinese Yellow Eel 蝦爆鱔面RMB28 is also an
unexpectedly good item to us. The crispy fried Chinese yellow eel gives
us a very memorable impression. The sauce is a bit spicy, it is also
this spicy sauce, which upgrades the overall quality. Noodle is still ad dente.
This means the noodle is boiled in soup in the optimum period of time.
We are lucky to order this noodle.
There
are totally 8 pieces of wonton in “Minced Pork Wonton's in Soup
上海小雲吞RMB16”. The wontons are served to us in the optimum time. Wonton
skin is still intact with the minced pork. In addition to the seaweed in
the soup , the overall flavor can be enhanced.
Appetizers include boiled peanut, preserved turnip, and preserved green bean.

Average spending: $100

Remarks: This Yu Yuan is not a branch of the same in Shanghai. It is in fact operated by capital from Hong Kong.
Yu
Yuan (YY) gives us a first impression it is a branch of the restaurant
group in Shanghai. This is one of the reasons we decide to try in YY
today. YY is on 4th of Citic Plaza, Seibu Department Store is also
located in this shopping mall. YY should be considered to be a Chinese restaurant
in the high end, in view of diner mix, interior decoration and waitress
quality.
We
order 4 other dishes in the meal. The bill is $176 (average per head
$90). This is of course a high price to the locals in Shenzhen. To us
and in view of the food quality, this is a very reasonable price. All dishes are tasty and they are much better in taste than we expect in the very beginning.
