Ox
Tongue with Rice Noodle in Soup 牛脷湯米線$52. Ox tongue is of about 0.75cm
in thickness. It should not be the one frozen in the fridge for very
long time. The meat is still chewy. Seasonings have not covered the natural taste of ox tongue. Soup and rice noodle are of course in the right track.
Hawaiian Papaya & Smoked Salmon Salad 夏威夷木瓜鮭肉沙律 $95. There are 3
pieces of smoked salmon. Hawaiian papaya is fresh and in very high
quality. The portion is value for money in view of $95 a set.
Smoked
Pomfret Fish Salad 煙鯧魚沙律$138. Twenty minutes is needed to prepare
smoked fish. Before it is served to us, we expect the portion is not
large. There are 2 large pieces of fresh Pomfret. Appearance of Pomfret
is not very attractive
but it is in fact delectable. The meat is still intact and not too
soft, and has fully soaked with the sauce (which is a mixture of green
onion, ginger, soya sauce, and sugar). The orange color is from edible
food dye. “Smoked” is the name commonly given to this dish, the meat has
not been smoked. It is surely a dish you would have full satisfaction.
Salad and other fruits are fresh, tasty, in good quality and not small portion.
Mushroom & Vegetables Fried Rice 菌雜生菜蛋炒飯 $53. There are different
types of mushroom, and the rice is not fried with a lot of oil. This is
healthy rice set.
There are a lot of succulent corns in this set soup.

Remarks: the one in Wanchai had been closed several years before.
Tiffany Restaurant (TR) has been operating in Prince Edward for many
years. It should be regarded as the best restaurant (not one of the
best) serving western food at reasonable price in Prince Edward. We are
delighted to visit again tonight.
There
should be no change in interior decoration for many years; it should
not be a small area in Hong Kong. But queue-up is needed at dinnertime
(there are quite a lot of walk-in diners), particularly on weekends. I
have to remind you that distance among tables is short. TR anyway is not a
hotel restaurant. The main purpose to dine here is to enjoy its food.
We
order 4 dinner sets, the bill is $375 (average per head $95). Normally
the dinner sets are priced from $100 to $150. Those pricing at $50 or
$60 are not suggested to order, if any. We are glad that food quality is
still decent and tasty, including set soup (corn soup only), drink and
dessert. Food taste and material quality are still high, food portion
is surely not small or cheating.
From
the sets ordered, revealing that we are quite healthy conscious. We
follow the recommendations of Hong Kong Government that we should eat
less meat, and vegetables should occupy a large portion in our meal. You
are recommended to have a try, but booking is highly advised.
