Baked Bun w/ White Custard is one of the signature dim sums in Lei Garden.
Fried Ricesheet Roll in XO Sauce has a well balance of taste and use of oil.
Baked
Shredded Radish Cake is very hot and not oily. We can still find
shredded radish but not in a mess inside. This is the quality we are
looking for. If to select a dim sum to determine the food quality of a
restaurant, I would select this Baked Shredded Radish Cake. Its quality is as high as that in Grand Cuisine Shanghai Kitchen in Taikoo Shing.
Some
people said if Cha Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Bun) is in high quality in a
Chinese restaurant, this implies this restaurant can also serve dim sum
in high quality. If so, Lei Garden is a restaurant serving high quality
dim sum. The Cha Siu Bao is stuffed with good quality cha siu, the sauce is quite tasty and not too salty.
Jian Dui 煎堆 is a chewy dough rolled in sesame seeds and deep fried.
Spicy Dumpling is unexpectedly tasty (though it is not served in good appearance). The stuffed content is pork and quite juicy.
Carbonado 燒肉 having a crispy skin gets a pass with credit. Yellow mustard sauce is served together.
Congee base of 'Congee w/ Sliced Grouper' is not the type we prefer.
Sliced grouper is not frozen. Lei Garden can always serve most dishes
with good taste.

Remarks: Cha Siu (BBQ Pork) is in very high quality, it is suggested to try. Sorry, no photo is included here.
Lei
Garden (LG) should be a Chinese restaurant serving dum sum of stable
and above average level, and is a chain restaurant we have very positive
impression. We have reserved table in advance, but for lunchtime, each
table is allowed to have dining time of at most 1.5 hours.
We
order 8 items only, the bill is $360 (average per head $120). It goes
without saying that food quality in LG can always be maintained at
reasonably high level. Average spending is comparatively higher. We are
quite satisfied with all dim sums and have confidence beforehand. Apart from food, we do not like the
waitresses who always promote their signature today soup (in a meal, at
least 3 waitresses promote the soup intermittenly). It is quite
disgusting but they promote with polite manner.
We hope LG can maintain its food quality, even though it is going to
have more branches in Hong Kong. Yum cha (dim sum) in Lei Garden is
recommended.
