Roasted Piglet (half) is better to be ordered in advance. Or, it may be sold out.

Bread is freshly baked.

This piglet is not too fat. The skin is crispy, but it is not in the best condition when it is served.

'Baked Peppercorn Prawns' is recommended to order. Prawn is fresh and of course has the nice flavor of peppercorn. Only several pieces on the top are large in size, those at the bottom are of average size only.

'Spicy Chicken in Portuguese Style' is very spicy. Though chicken is quite common in different cuisines, this Portuguese chicken is very delectable and we like the spiciness very much.

'Stewed Ox Tail' should have been cooked for more than 3 hours. Each piece of Ox tail is soft enough and rich in beef flavor. The sauce is very nice too. This is a must-ordered dish.

'Grilled Sardine' does not have scale on surface (we prefer those with sacle). The meat is still very juicy and nice. There is no trace of fishiness.

'Pan-fried Portuguese Sausage (Chourico)' is not an outstanding dish. I prefer the Chinese preserved sausage more. This item may be skipped in your next visit.

'Fried Salted Cod Fish, Potato & Egg' is a western fried egg. Salted cod fish is not too salty. It is a nice Portuguese dish.

'Baked Duck Rice' is a rice cooked with duck meat and herbs. We all like this signature rice. It is not a small one, it is better to be shared by at least 6 persons.

White wine 'Gazela' with fruity flavor. How many glasses have you seen from this photo? I also do not know.

To be a restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine, we really want to have a try in Nino's for long. We do not know whether authentic Portuguese cuisine is really served. From its appearance, it is not the decoration of a local 'western' restaurant. Since it is a small restaurant on the ground floor, we are led to dine on the 11th floor in the same building. It is in fact a wine cellar, which can serve about 20 diners at the same time. Besides, we are delighted the atmosphere in the wine cellar is much better than that on the ground floor.

We order 9 dishes, including drinks, average per head is about $350. We have not ordered the recommended 'grilled scallop' (which is priced at $50 per piece), as we do not have full confidence on its food quality at the time of placing order. It is better to order those traditional Portuguese dishes in the first try.

A bit not in our expectation, from the bread till the last dish – stewed ox tail, we do not have any disappointment for most dishes. For some items, they are of very high quality and originality, like baked duck rice, grilled sardine, stewed ox tail and spicy chicken. The flavor is more Portuguese than Macanese. This is why for the same items tried in Macau , the taste is a bit different. But we like them to be more Portuguese.

In the wine cellar, though it is not of very large area, it surely gives us a pleasant ambiance. We spend the whole night to chat after meal. One point to appreciate is the courteous and attentive manner of all servers. They are professional as well in the capacity to be servers in a Portuguese restaurant. It is a recommended eatery of Portuguese cuisine in Hong Kong . In view of the food quality and originality, the price charged is still reasonable.
