Fried Vegetable w/ Vegetarian Meat. Vegetarian meat has the texture of
real meat and the taste of canned luncheon meat. The sauce is cooked
from dried longan and soy sauce.
Today soup is natural and free of msg. We found papaya (green and
orange), peanut and other beans in the soup. Besides this soup, plain
rice and today dessert are also served at free.
'Steamed Beancurd Sheet' is served with ginger paste.
Vegetarian BBQ Pork (Cha Siu) has exactly the same appearance and
taste as that of real cha siu. The meat texture of course is different.
It also has wine taste. This is one of the signature dishes in Fat Yau
Yuen.

We
pay a visit tonight as we have not visited Fat Yau Yuen (FYY) for a
period and would like to have no meat dinner. As mentioned in former
visit, FYY is a speakeasy and located on the second floor. There is no
signboard at the building entrance. This is why we do not know whether FYY is still in operation tonight.
FYY
can serve about 25 diners at the same time, including an individual
room for group dining. We of course order the signature cha siu, and two
other vegetarian dishes. In fact, all dishes and stuffs served are
vegetarian. Food quality can still maintain .
Food portion is not small, we need to take into account plain rice,
today soup and today dessert which are all served at free. Menu with
dish photos is available now, it is surely an aid for those who do not
know which dishes to order.
Besides, fried rice, fried noodle, steamed fish and others are
available too. Eating vegetarian food is now becoming an enjoyment and
an escape from the oily and toxic animal meats.
