Kan Kee Vegetarian is one of my favourite vegetarian restaurants. Wai
Kee will be the next to introduce in the same Cooked Food Centre in Wan
Chai.
The set is only $22.
Papaya soup is natural, delicate and has no MSG. In fact, all foods here have added no MSG. $8
Vermicelli with 2 dishes is of light taste and enough for an adult. It is not greasy and is a break for all those carnivores.

There
are many cooked foods stalls in this floor, including Hong Kong style
noodle, bbq roasted meats, curry cuisines and dai pai dong style local
foods. I selected Kan Kee, when I want to eat light food and do not want
to eat meat. This is one of the 2 vegetarian foods stalls in this cooked foods
market. Kan Kee gives me a special and light feeling, as the signboard
is in vivid pale green color.
You
may select combo set at $27, including a bowl of rice, a plate of 3
vegetarian foods out of a total of 6 different kinds in the kitchen (the
menu changes regularly), and a bowl of today soup. Or, you may select individual items instead of the combo, eg daily soup $8, a plate of 3
vegetarian foods $18, a plate of 2 vegetarian foods with Udon $20, fried
noodle or rice vermicelli $8, and a bowl of rice or congee $8.
The
portion is not small, and is enough for normal appetite. The taste is
good and not too salty. It is the kind of vegetarian food taste I
expect. If you want to eat more, a combo is suggested. Free tea is also
served ,
even though you do not order combo, then no soup is included. Maybe,
this stall serves vegetarian foods, the waitress (Boss) is good-tempered
and polite. In fact, in Wanchai, you cannot find restaurants, which
serve vegetarian foods of such good quality and at such low price. One demerit is that this stall only opens till 15:00, and it is closed at nighttime.
