Fried Noodle should have been fried with heart and care. It is not
oily and the noodle texture is very good. We all like this fried noodle.
Fried Chicken w/ Mushroom is not alluring in appearance. But it is
quite delectable and the taste is well-balanced. We have not expected
too much in this western restaurant that both western and oriental
dishes are available.
Sweet & Sour Pork is not generous in portion, but this price is very reasonable. It is definitely an above average dish.
Fried Cuttlefish w/ Broccoli is also not bad, but it is not nicely presented.
Pan-fried Egg w/ Vegetables is quite ridiculous in appearance. But we do not have any complaint.
Sweet Potato Congee is a very outstanding item, this is not
anticipated. You should also order in your upcoming visit, if any.
Textures of rice and sweet potato are very good, it is a very nutritive
one.
The restaurant is very roomy, there are not too many patrons in
lunchtime. It is a very nice place to kill your time, if you are in Chao
Zhou.
Chao Zhou Guest Hotel Western Restaurant 潮州迎賓館 西餐廳 Chaofeng Road Central, Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, PRC. 中國廣東省潮洲市潮楓路中段 Tel: 86 0768 2399888 Opening Hours: Daily Style: chao zhou, Chinese, western, international, Average spending: RMB50 (US$7.7) Date: January 2012 Website: www.czybg.com Remarks: -
Originally, we would like to dine in Chao Zhao Guest Hotel Chinese
Restaurant. It must be too famous and prestigious that it is always full
and fully booked. We inevitably resort to dine in the Western
Restaurant. Yes, it is a bit unwilling.
A
big contrast is that this Western Restaurant is only a restaurant
without splendid decoration. It is of course much larger and roomy in
size that those in Hong Kong. Service is not professional enough, but we
have not been ill-treated and servers have tried their
best to serve us. During our patron, there are not too many diners.
Though it is mentioned to be a western restaurant, there are in fact
cuisines from different countries. We have not ordered any western food.
In our opinion and for safety sake,
we only order Chinese dishes. To our surprise, though the presentations
may not be of professional standard, all dishes are cooked with heart
and are quite delicious, frankly speaking. We are impressed and this is a
lesson that we cannot always judge one thing by our first impression. Chao Zhou Guest House Western Restaurant is also a nice place for afternoon tea.
