Marinated
Goose Meat - Goose Web, Goose Wing & Goose Kidney. You may select
your own favourites. It is nicely presented in such a long white plate.
Taste is good, or we may say it is served at very high quality. There
are many options in the marinated stuff section. It is a test of its
authenticity. After trying this dish, we deduce that authentic Chao Zhou
dishes are served in Jianye. They have the calibre to prepare and serve
Chao Zhou marinated stuffs.
Deep-fried
Tofu and Shrimp Ball are cooked with perfection. Shrimp ball is still
juicy and very fresh. It definitely has not be fried for several times.
Tofu is not like those in Hong Kong. There is a special tasty smell. We
like it very much.
Chaozhou Vegetable in Claypot is also a delectable item. It is simple
that there are vegetable and several pieces of pork. The chef has the
ability to cook it to be a tasty one.
Taro
and Sweet Potato Dessert is served in claypot. Small amount of scallion
oil and white sesame are served on top of the sweet soup. Both taro and
sweet potato are from quality materials, the textures are very good. It
is a complete ending in this Chaozhou meal in Shantou.
Jianye Restaurant is one of the top Chaozhou restaurants in Shantou. Altogether, there are two branches in Shantou.
Jianye is a top grade Chinese restaurant in Shantou. From the dressing of patrons, the speculation is confirmed.
There is a special section for marinated stuffs and cold seafood. This should be a gimmick to the dwellers in Shantou.
From this entrance, we deeply believe that our selection is right. In my mind, it is similar to The Peninsula in Hong Kong.

This
is the best restaurant we experience in Shantou. It has several
branches in South China. Somebody said it is equivalent to Yung Kee
Restaurant in Hong Kong. In my experience, its decoration is much better
in Jian Ye or I would say it is the Peninsula
in Hong Kong. In terms of food quality, Yung Kee in Hong Kong should be
higher. In terms of diners, they are mostly the prestigious class in
Shantou . Most servers are around the age of twenty, they are courteous
but not too professional .
We
do not order much this time. It is only a casual dinner. What we would
like to do is to experience and dine in such a quality restaurant in
Shantou. Yes, we have achieved our mission. It is not possible to have
such a large restaurant in Hong Kong. All ordered dishes are of high quality
and authentic, they all are cooked and prepared with skill and care.
They are also presented professionally. It is really one of the best
restaurants of Zhao Zhou cuisine in Shantou.
