Braised Stuffed Tofu is alluring in outlook. I like such dish, including food materials, presentation, taste and cooking style.
Since the management is difficult, food presentation is different or food is presented in a better way.
Fried Chicken in Claypot is average, though the chef should have
devoted a lot. There is not much juice in this dish. But it is very hot
when served.
Braised Pumpkin w/ Pork
Soup of Sweet Corn, Carrot and Pig Pork has no other additive, like msg. The soup is therefore clear and natural.
Braised
Spareribs w/ Dried Mushroom should be one of the signature dishes.
Mushroom is small in size and there is no need to eat mushroom of large
size always. This dish is not particularly delectable, mainly because
the chef has not added a lot of seasonings . Such cooking method has already highlighted the flavour of pork and
mushroom. You should have a try in your upcoming visit. This is a
homefeel dish.
Each piece of mushroom has the size of of two centimetres. It is lovely too.
Fried Noodle with Shredded Mushroom & Soya Sauce
It is a delectable fried noodle. The taste is well-balanced, not too salty and not oily.
Steamed Eel w/ Preserved Black Bean Paste is nice too. Fish is fresh enough, resulting that meat texture is naturally bouncy.
Fried Lotus Root
The outlook is a bit different from those local eateries. There are photos of Clinton & the boss of this restaurant.

Café
Sydney & Bar is a Chinese restaurant and its name in English should
be a bit misleading. Maybe, in the past, it was both café and bar. But
now, it is solely a restaurant serving Chinese food. The target
customers should be those with higher income and pursuit of food with better quality.
It
is not a large restaurant. Maybe, the market in Shaoguan is not large,
it is mainly targeting the niche market and tourists. There are many
dishes in the meal. No matter whether the dishes are signature or not,
they are nicely presented. Most
dishes are cooked with heart and skill, they are also tasty and
different from those food prepared by local eateries. We are lucky to
have dined in Café Sydney. It should be one of the best in Shaoguan. If
you visit Shaoguan, don' t miss the chance of savoring the dishes in Café Sydney.
