Braised
Mutton 手抓羊肉is a typical dish in Yin Chuan and northwest China. For that
good quality mutton, there is only a trace of mutton special smell.
Each person should have one small piece only. Normally, it should be
eaten with the spicy sauce. Such kind mutton with only a trace of mutton special smell is not available everywhere in the Mainland.
Braised Fish is not fresh enough in our sense. The sauce is spicy and sweet.
Steamed
Grains Roll 莜面窩窩is like the egg roll we eat, in appearance. It
originally is a typical dish in Shanxi 山西and we are lucky to try it in
Yin Chuan. It has no taste and should be eaten with mutton, and sweet or spicy sauce. Of course, if you like, we may eat in whatever way you like.

Soup
of Duck & White Gourd 冬瓜老鴨湯. Soup is the signature dish in Song
Cheng. There are more than 15 soup options in the menu. Since we are
from Hong Kong, we have tried even better quality Chinese soup in Hong
Kong. Of course, from the standard in the Mainland, the soup here is already very good.
Small amount of msg, if any, has been added to Fish Head Soup.
Steamed Vegetarian Dumpling 素鍋貼 is good in quality. We should
appreciate their skill in the preparation. For vegetarian dumpling, you
should be able to expect the taste.

Winter Gourd
Chinese Donut with Sesame 冬甩(甜甜圈) is good in appearance. The one in
Yamazaki is much more delicious. In Yin Chuan, it should be a wonderful
dessert for the locals.
Song Cheng is a restaurant of two storeys in Yin Chuan.

Cheng (SC) should have no connection with Song Dynasty. It is a
restaurant of 2 storeys and is quite similar to those Chinese
restaurants in the Mainland, in terms of layout, decoration and service.
It should be a restaurant that serves fusion Chinese foods.
We
are allotted to a VIP room, which serves one table of diners only. We
order more than 10 dishes and are satisfied with the food quality and
variety. Particularly we like the braised mutton 手抓羊肉and Steamed Grains
Roll 莜面窩窩. If you have chance to visit Yin Chuan, SC should be a restaurant for your consideration.
