Boiled Chicken Soup w/ Dried Root' is not small in size, it must be
shared. We are pleased to eat chicken in the mainland as the quality is
much higher than those available in Hong Kong, in terms of texture and
flavor. NB Dried root is a special material in Fujian. Please do not ask me its herbal name and functions. Sorry!
'Braised Chicken in Fujian Country Style'. The chicken is surely
fresh, resulting that the meat is very bouncy and is rich in chicken
flavor.
'Leaf Mustard in Soup' has a natural sweetness. It is not oily and is
boiled with pork and pig bone. FYI, leaf mustard is commonly available
in Fujian in November, which is very large in size (about 1 foot
height).
'Fried Vegetable' is cooked with oil and salt. We specially request not to cook with any meat.

Apart
from trying the original country cuisine in Fujian , we would like to
eat in a limited portion (this is in fact the belief of our dine-out in
Hong Kong ). In my mind, no matter whether the dishes are delicious or
not, there is no need to eat a lot.
We
do not order a lot at night, and order 4 items only. We learn that the
chicken is not chilled, we therefore order a braised chicken and chicken
soup. We are lucky that the dishes are delectable and not strange in
taste. The chef does not cook with surplus oil. We really enjoy a country meal in Fujian, particularly in Xiao Ning Long Inn 小玲瓏客棧.
