Steamed Rice with Crab in Garlic Mash is in very
generous portion. The crab is in big size as well. Rice is not oily and
is steamed with fried garlic mash. Once it is served, there is an
impeccable and alluring flavor of crab and garlic. This is very tasty
steamed rice and we have ordered the right dish.
A closer look. The rice is really not oily and the crab is fresh.
Daliang
Fried Fresh Milk is not too oily. This dish can test the cooking skill
of chef. The milk is tender and has not yet been over-cooked. Some
shrimp meats can be found as well, but they are not in the kind of
freshness we are looking for.
Steamed Marble Goby with Preserved Vegetable.
This
fish is also very large in size. When it is served to us, the meat is
just fully cooked, which is tender and bouncy. The preserved vegetable
can of course bring out the freshness of Marble Goby. This dish is
highly recommended to you. But we are not sure whether it is available
all the time.
Soup of Thousand Egg & Vegetable is white milk
in color and tasty, but MSG has been added. If we do not take MSG into
consideration, it is surely a tasty soup.

Shun De River Seafood Restaurant (SDRS) has
been visited by our Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special
Administration Region – Sir Donald Tsang a year before. There is an
enlarged newspaper clipping posted on the wall. We are overjoyed to dine
in this restaurant tonight.
SDRS is an medium-sized Chinese
restaurant of two storeys; it is not uncommon to find foreigners to dine
tonight. A lot of live river seafoods are swimming in the ponds on the
ground floor. SDRS has no splendid interior decoration; its layout is
only a typical Chinese restaurant. The wait staff is not too hospitable,
or they are surely not rude to us.
We have not ordered the
dinner set. Instead we order 3 dishes and a soup. The bill is $450
(average per head $110). Overall speaking, food portion is not small, or
in fact they are a bit larger in size than our expectation. Food taste
is unusually good and above average.
It is a value for money meal
tonight. There are still many other Shun De dishes to try in our next
visit. If you want to try as well, bear in mind, you should have at
least 4 persons to dine together. Or, you will be regretted.
