The Codfather Oyster & Seafood Bar 2 @ Quarry Bay

Fettucine with Cheese and Scallop is enticing in colour and outlook. Pasta texture is good and al dente. Scallop is bouncy in texture though it is chilled. We appreciate their cooking skill very much. This is the quality of pasta and authentic Italian pasta (not the localised one) we are looking for.
P.S. Pasta should be more outstanding than risotto.

Salad w/ Smoked Eel is different from salad in other restaurants, in the sense that smoked eel is very chewy, taste and texture are good. There is no trace of fishiness and the smoked flavour is slight.

Mussels Mariniere Sauce with French Bread is in larger portion than we expect.

Mussel size is not big, it should be the best size available. It is cooked with cream, herbs and tomato. Freshness of mussel has been highlighted. The sauce is a good companion of French bread.

We visit Codfather again tonight. The reason why we do not like to visit Codfather frequently is that it is too packed a restaurant. It always gives us a not too comfortable feeling. But sometimes, it is needed to visit.

Tonight, as usual, Codfather is full. What we can enjoy is the food instead of the ambiance, we do not enjoy the ambiance. We are delighted that pasta, salad and mussel are still cooked and prepared with credit. This is the merit of a small restaurant, food quality can easily been controlled. It is not a must in our experience in Hong Kong. Thanks, our Codfather.
