In quite a lot of vegetarian eateries, these assorted vegetable stuffs (雜錦齋) are not delicious. It is different in Veggie Source Restaurant. There are about five assorted vegetarian stuffs in the above dish, they all are cooked with high standard. At least, they please our tastebuds very much.
Fried Ho Fan (炒河粉) is a bit oily. If this area can be improved, this is a very delicious Fried Ho Fan. Beef is replaced by mushroom. We appreciate the chef that vegetarian stuffs can also be cooked with good taste.
Fried Rice (菜芯炒飯) is average and can be cooked with better result, if a little bit less oil is used and the rice can be cooked for half minute by micro-wave oven before it is fried for us.

We have not tried vegetarian meal for a period and would like to have a try in Aberdeen. Veggie Source is conveniently located in Aberdeen. Maybe, it is still early or the people in Aberdeen do not like vegetarian food a lot, there are not many patrons at lunchtime. The restaurant is in fact at the basement. On the ground floor, it is only a small counter selling cooked vegetarian food.
We expect it should be a healthier meal beforehand. But it does not turn out to be so. We order two dishes of fried noodle and rice, they are a bit oily. The taste however is quite good. It should not be a coincidence, it should be the result of cooking skill we believe. We hope the next meal in Veggie Source should be a real healthy one.
