Duck Breast Salad. Lettuce is fresh and served with black vinegar.
Duck breast is claimed to have been marinated and be prepared in a special cooking method. But we cannot sense there is any difference from some other duck breasts. If so, it is a bit overpriced.
'Braised Pork w/ Lotus Root & Dried Citrus Peel' should be a Chinese dish. It has a very alluring smell when it is served. The taste is well-balanced and very delicious. The pork is fresh and not frozen. If not, it would not be so tasty. We appreciate this dish very much. It has attained an outstanding level. You are recommended to order, if any.
'Oyster Risotto' is served in an attractive color. There is a nice flavor of oyster. The rice is a bit al dente. It is cooked with shredded mushroom and onion. Italian rice is used in this dish. Apart from this, we do not think that it is a risotto or cooked in Italian style.
This oyster is cooked with heart, with brown appearance. But it should not be a very fresh oyster. For an extra piece of oyster, it is charged $30. This is too expensive and we are lucky we have not ordered an extra piece. We can only say this is an average 'risotto'.
For dish which requires less skill, like this vegetable in soup, it has a very high quality, or we can say it has attained an outstanding quality and has been cooked to perfection.
Apple Tart ($42) is undoubtedly a delectable dessert. We have ordererd one piece of dessert only. It is anyway overpriced.

Sosam is restaurant in a bystreet in Tokwawan. At night, it is really not easy to locate Sosam. It should be a small eatery which can serve about 20 diners at the same time. There is an open kitchen. Totally there are 3 chefs and one waiter. In time of full house, it is needed to wait for a long time before the dishes can be served.
In the very beginning, we guess it should be a café serving light meal or sandwich. But it in fact serves rice, noodle, snack and other dish. Pricing is not comparable to the general price level in Tokwawan, but a bit high. To quantify, it should be charged 20% higher than it should be, in our experience and observation. For food quality, it is quite unbelievable that some dishes are of outstanding quality, but others average or can just get a pass. We do not think that they can master the cooking of all kinds of dishes / cuisines. I hope they can concentrate on Chinese or local foods, or dessert.
Even so, we do want to have a try in other time period. We bear in mind that the selection of dishes is very crucial. If our selection is right, we can have high quality meal at reasonable price. If not, it would be changed at least 20% higher.
