BBQ Dutch Baby Spareribs is served with assorted veggies and fried potato. The portion is normal and it is quite enticing in appearance.

There is no surplus sauce (tomato & BBQ sauce). Meat texture is nice and not too tender. No meat tenderizer has been added, though quite a lot of diners do not know whether meat tenderizer has been added. We appreciate this very much. It is at least much better in taste and meat texture than that in quite a lot of American restaurants.

Assorted Salad

Bread and bun are freshly baked when served. The yellow paste in the front is butter with herbs.

Penne in Pesto Cream Sauce w/ Smoked Salmon, Asparagus & Mushroom, though not too attractive in appearance, is in fact very good in taste. Penne is al dente, this is essential. There is no surplus sauce surrounding each piece of penne. Apart from smoked salmon, asparagus and mushroom, options of scallop, chicken, prawn and others are available. We know from our experience this pasta should be prepared by local chef, but we still like this hybrid penne.

We do not expect there is a restaurant serving western cuisine in Tai Po with such quality outlook, we of course are attracted. It is full at night and we are allotted to a table for two after waiting for a short time. Interior decoration is very nice and modern, but it is similar to other restaurants in Hong Kong that it is rather packed. It gives me a first impression that it should be a local restaurant serving western food. This does not affect our exploration and we do hope that a nice meal will be served here.

There are quite a lot of selections in the menu, font size is very large too. It is then a versatile version for diners of all ages. We order two main dishes, namely pasta and grilled spareribs. Dishes are served to us about ten minutes after placing order. The portion is not too small and they are freshly served. Food presentation is nice and has no big difference from those in Central and Wanchai. In view of taste, it is definitely a nice experience. Pasta is al dente in texture, sparerib is tasty and nicely grilled with bbq tomato sauce on top. No meat tenderizer is applied on sparerib, we appreciated their food preparation and confidence in food material and cooking skill. In view of price, it is comparable to those in Wanchai and Central for restaurants of similar grading. You are recommended to have a try if you are looking for western food in Tai Po.
