These are two bowls of large size. Basically we do not know how large it is. For the sake of not ordering again later when the portion is not sufficient to us, we order this large size. The thick noodle is also good in texture. It may be the result of luck or coincidence. Anyhow, we only attribute this to their great cooking skill, even though it may be wrong or a bias. If it is a wrong, we are willing to be wrong forever.
This Pork Knuckles are in generous portion. Each piece is not too large in size. No extra sauce is needed to cook pork knuckle. It is like to boil it in water only. In fact, it is of course not so. It seems that its taste is not concentrated. Yes, it seems to be so. But it does not mean that there is no taste. Both skin and meat are bouncy in texture. Pork knuckle is very delicious in reality and well-balance in taste. It must be the result of sophisticated cooking skill and experience. It is not salty at all, or the taste is not enough. What our response is that we would keep on eating and enjoying our pork knuckle, and keep silent. Soup base is also carefully prepared. It is not like the soup with msg only in some noodle shops. As a whole, it is nearly flawless. Since we have ordered "large bowl" of noodle (there is also small size), there is no need to order extra one (since the waiting time may be another twenty minutes or more). Our utility has been maximized. This is a successful mission without any regret.
Before we have this wonderful experience, we also query whether it is only a result of critical mass effect or social climbers. Now, I dare to say we should try the pork knuckle in Kwan Kee again, in order to support and respect their talent, patience, devotion and effort. We should give Kwan Kee full support no matter how small our support is. On the other hand, we do not know whether Kwan Kee will be the next victim because of the conscienceless property developers (though we do not know whether the premises is owned by Kwan Kee). Becasue of the flawless pork knuckle, we do not care that to queue up is needed, the service is not good or it is simply rude, its opening hours is only 6 hours, pork knuckle sometimes would be sold out at 15:00, and Kwan Kee is not conveniently located. All these are not important if we can have a try of its pork knuckle. Kwan Kee, keep it up! Thank you so much!
It is also said to be another signature item. Each patron will be served with one small plate. It is very spicy, this is a warning to those non-spicy lovers. But for spicy lovers, it is so so only.
Schweppes is very cold and cold enough. It is particularly fantastic in summer and in Kwan Kee where air-conditioning is not available. It has electrical fans only.
Remember this signage with white background and red Chinese characters. It is easily missed. But if your target is to look for a shop with a lot of patrons at the front, it should be Kwan Kee.
They are waiting for their ordered noodles idly. Since there are too many orders, waiting is a must for both dine-in and take-away. Air-conditioning is not available. If air-conditioning is a must for you, Kwan Kee is not your cup of tea.

We do not frequent Fanling. We are pleased to have a chance to try the famous pork knuckle of Kwan Kee. It is easy to locate Kwan Kee, as there is a group of customers standing in front of the shop.
After waiting for a while, we are lucky to have allotted to a table. In view of the environment, we learn that we should place our order as soon as possible and should not expect attentive service to be provided. We wait for about fifteen minutes before our ordered stuffs are served to us. We are heartening that pork knuckle is really delectable and flavorful, overall performance is much higher than what we guess before. Pork knuckle deserves to be the signature item; it is not easy to eat pork knuckle of such high quality and reasonable price. We must try again.
