Fried Pork Chop is the signature item of Sai Kee Shanghai Noodle. Nearly 80% diners order this Shanghai noodle with pork chop. Additionally, we order vegetable and dumplings.


Luckily, no meat tenderizer has been added to pork chop, this is the prerequisite of good quality pork chop in my mind. Though the batter is thick, the taste is good, delicious and relatively mild. It does not like some eateris, in order to please the tastebuds, most food items are quite concentrated in taste. Each large piece of pork chop has already been chopped into smaller ones.


These drinks and foods are ordered from stalls nearby. This is the tai pai tang culture in Hong Kong.


Sai Kee Shanghai Noodle is more crowded than the other pork chop noodle stall in the cooked food centre. It is the first time for us to try here. Frankly speaking, quality of both pork chop and noodle is much higher here.

At least two stalls in Tai Po cooked food centre sell pork chop Shanghai noodle. This time we arbitrarily select this Sai Kee. All tables are occupied, it takes several minutes before a table is allotted to us.

 

We of course order pork chop with Shanghai noodle, together with wonton and vegetable. Frankly speaking, not so much msg has been added to the soup comparatively. Pork chop is delicious and the taste is well-balanced. If you are pork chop fans, you should try here in your upcoming visit to Tai Po.
