Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple was constructed in 1714, it has a history of 301 in 2015. Besides Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple, it is also called Yi Tai Temple and Kwan Tai Temple. There are even more names in Chinese, '元朗舊墟玄關二帝廟/元朗北帝廟/元朗關帝廟/玄關二帝廟/元朗二帝廟/元朗西邊圍北帝廟'. The temple is graded as Grade I Historic Building. Though the address of Yi Tai Temple is in Nam Pin Wai, it is managed by Sai Pin Wai.
It is mainly in black and bright red colours.
Walking along Cheung Shing Street (長盛街) in Nam Pin Wai, it is easy to notice the existence of Yi Tai Temple.
The temple should have been furbished not long before. It gives us an impression it has been furbished within a couple of months.
There is a large incense burner near the entrance.
There are quite a lot of followers to the temple. Some just come to make their wishes, burn incense and joss paper. Some come to consult the fortune-teller inside the temple.
There are several deities in the temple, mainy because in the past when transportation was no convenient, several deities were therefore housed and worshipped in the same temple.
