San Tau is a small village in Tung Chung, Lantau Island. It is opposite to the Chek Lap Kok Hong Kong International Airport. In San Tau, there are about 30 houses. But most of them have been vacant.

The construction with the best appearance in San Tau Village should be San Tau School (䃟頭學校). It is a one-storey construction of village school. The school was founded in 1959, i.e. 55 years before, in 2014.

Please note the school name in Chinese character is on a piece of ladder-like construction with simple detailings on the edge, and it should have been repainted before the time of taking photo.

Next to San Tau School, there is a rest area called San Tau Garden, Tai O. It is strange that the location is in Tung Chung, it should not be in Tai O. This wrong signboard should be valuable.

This is the San Tau Village. Some old houses are aligned along the trail to Tai O.

They are still kept in good condition. At least, we do not think that it will have high probability of collapse suddenly.

The door is 'locked', this may imply the interior is still in good condition. Some people would still treasure these houses. If not, the house will be in ruin and full of rubbish or construction debris.

Couplets are newly attached, and the door is in good shape and colour.

This picture in 2014 should be similar to the situation forty years before. Except that the dwellers have moved to other places in Hong Kong. What is left in San Tau Village is this series of locked houses.
