Hung Hom Sqaure is a construction at Matauwai Road.
The atrium is large and spacious. It should be a renovative design in 1980s. The basement (on the basement of the atrium) is now a bargain centre, in order to generate more rental and customer flow.

Hung Hom Square was developed by Cheung Kong Holdings Ltd in 1982, it
is 32 years old in 2014. It should be the oldest shopping mall in Hung
Hom. The square has totally four storeys, including the basement. It
provides about 300 shops, they include supermarket, bank, clinic, convenience
store, bookstore, pharmacy, fashion shop and eatery. The floors above
Hung Hom Square is called Hung Hom Commerical Centre (紅磡商業中心).
The shopping mall is not a successful one. There are not too many customers for the whole day. At night, there should be more customers.
The ground floor should be the busiest section in the whole mall.
The location of Hung Hom Square is very convenient, but for so many years, it cannot draw sufficient customers from different areas. Maybe, it is not easy to operate a shopping mall, even though the location is very good. For a mall of more than 30 years, to have large-scale renovation and innovative change are not easy. Let's see what the fate of Hung Hom Square will be.
