Lung
Ngam Temple (龍巖寺) is a Buddhist and Taoist temple in Tai O of Lantau
Island, Hong Kong. It was built in 1929. This means it has nearly 84
years history in 2013. Many gods are worshipped in Lung Ngam Temple,
like Chu Tai Sin (朱大仙) and the Buddha. The temple area is not too large. Apart from the main temple, a pagoda at the back is also worth a visit.
This
is in fact a pagoda of two storeys. Please do not be misled by the five
layers of canopy. There is a small altar at the second floor, which is
accessible by a spiral staircase inside the pagoda.
Lung Ngam Temple in Tai O is a small temple only, you may spend half an hour before heading to Tai O town.
