Tai Tung Bakery was founded in 1940s. At that time, in view of the general poverty, a young man would like to bake and serve cakes and bread to the general public at affordable price, and he wanted to have satisfaction of all. Therefore the Chinese name - Tai Tung (大同) was adopted. It is now run by the third generation. It does not like other bakery chain and food chain, Tai Tung has five branches in Hong Kong only, namely Yuen Long, North Point, Tsuen Wan, Tsingyi and Shatin.
On top of the building, there is "大同 1943".
The shop is still decorated in the traditional bakery style in Hong Kong. It has not yet been changed to a modern outlook.
It is a bakery with a history of 71 years.
At present, it sells moon cake, Chinese cake, wedding cake, bread, Lunar New Year stuffs, and preserved meat.
Preserved duck, preserved pork sausage, preserved pork and others.
All items are clearly priced.
