It is said that after the 1970s, the Government built Wang Tau Hom Estate (橫頭磡邨), residents held a spontaneous fund raising to build Fook Tak Temple (福德祠). One of its aims is to salvage the spirits of the death in the Second World War. During Yu Lan Festival (盂蘭節) annually, on the 14th day of the seven lunar month, the residents would organize large-scale festival. At that time, followers would flock to the temple to do the worship.
