Sha Chow Lei Tsuen 沙洲里村 @ Yuen Long 元朗

Sha Chow Lei Tsuen (沙洲里村) is one of the five villages to be demolished in Hung Shui Kiu (洪水橋).

Sha Chow Lei Tsuen is not a village of indigenous inhabitants. It does not have ancestral hall. Most buildings are of three storeys. There are about 50 blocks in the whole village.

This is the village office of Sha Chow Lei Tsuen. It is a two-storey constructions, with an illegal construction on the top.

In order to increase the total area to the maximum, each inch of the building has been utilized.

It is a place for the villgers to gather, share, chat, and handle the matters of the village.

These should be the stoves to cook big meal in the past and in time of festivals.

Those high-rise buidlings are private and public housings in Tin Shui Wai (天水圍).
