On the opposite side of Castle Peak Road - Hung Shui Kiu (青山公路 - 洪水橋段) in this photo, it is Tan Kwai Tsuen (丹桂村). The road on the left is Tan Kwai Tsuen Road (丹桂村路). In fact, Tan Kwai Tsuen occupies a large area between Hung Shui River (洪水河) and Yuen Long Highway (元朗公路). Tan Kwai Tsuen should have a history of more than eighty years in 2015.
At the junction of Castle Peak Road - Hung Shui Kiu (青山公路 - 洪水橋段) and Tan Kwai Tsuen Road (丹桂村路), it is a property agency (Kong Tat Property Agency 港達物業), specializing in property sale in the New Territories.
Three retail shops can be found adjacent to the property agency, they should have a history of more than fifty years.
They are basically grocery stores.
Leung Hing Store (良興士多) is the largest one, among the three. It sells toilet paper, soft drinks and cigarettes.
Chun Hei Hong (振禧行) is at 12 Tan Kwai Tsuen Road. Please note the Chinese characters are read from right to left. This implies that Chun Hei Hong is an old shop, with a history of more than 50 years.
At the back of Chun Hei Hong, it is a foot massage shop.
Tan Kwai Tsuen is not small. As time goes by, some land has been sold and residential blocks are built in the middle of Tan Kwai Tsuen. Photos of the portion at the junction of Castle Peak Road - Hung Shui Kiu (青山公路 - 洪水橋段) and Tan Kwai Tsuen Road (丹桂村路) are taken this time. If time allows, photos of the rest Tan Kwai Tsuen will be taken as well.
