Lo Tsing Shan Tsuen (老青山村) is a village at the hillside of So Kwun Wat (掃管笏), opposite the Avignon (星堤), at the junction of So Kwun Wat Road (掃管笏路) and So Kwun Wat Tsuen Road (掃管笏村路). The above guidepost is too lovely and nostalgic.

Across this bridge, it is the entrance of Lo Tsing Shan Tsuen and the old shop - Ping Ping Shop (平平商店).

We are not sure whether the shop is still in operation or it is only a Sunday close.

Mailboxes of Lo Tsing Shan Tsuen.

Since the village is built on hillside, we have to walk upwards and upwards. But it is not too steep and the village is not too large. To continue to walk upwards, it is the Macleshole Trail (Stage 10).

Along the trail, there are different plants and trees.

It is a nice trail, it is clean and the trail surface is safe enough.

Basically, the houses are not too old. Maybe, they have been rebuilt not long before.

The metallic gate is quite old and please pay attention to the design. The pattern on the upper part should be a bat, which represents luck and fortune, in Chinese culture.

This should be the house of the largest size and the best outlook in the whole village.

It has a large open area in front of the house. The house is called Tung Lo (東廬), which means East House.

It should be at least two times larger than other houses in the village.

Along the trail, we notice there are a lot of lychee and mango. The lychee is ripe already.

Each mango is large.

A warning

Vegetable field is found, it is irrigated by water in this pond.

It is opposite to Avignon (星堤).

TM - Tuen Mun, SKW - So Kwun Wat.

The lower figures should be the dimenions of respective house.

Lo Tsing Shan Tsuen is built on hillside.

It is not expected there is such a lovely village on hillside in So Kwun Wat. The 'Tung Lo' big house is very impressive, it should be the house of a rich family. Another point to mention is that there are ripe lychee and to be ripe mango, which should be of high quality. Most houses should have no dwellers. We guess only 20% houses in Lo Tsing Shan Tsuen are inhabited.
