The latest renovation was completed in March 2014. Before this, it was renovated in 1991.
The temple has a history of nearly 100 years, and is open 24 hours daily. This Tin Hau Temple at Gold Coast (黃金天后廟) is also called So Kwun Tan Tin Hau Temple (掃管灘天后廟).
The temple is small, but it is nicely decorated. Another reason is that it has just been renovated in March 2015.

'國泰民安' means prosperous state and its people at peace.
'風調雨順' means favorable weather, timely wind and rain. In the past, the followers of Tin Hau Temple were mainly fishermen. These two blessings were particularly important to them.
The temple is located next to Tower 4 of Gold Coast, and besides Castle Peak Road - So Kwun Wat (青山公路 – 掃管笏段).
This is the size of the whole temple. Its door to Cold Coast Tower 4 is locked.
The metallic gate at the back of the temple to Castle Peak Road - So Kwun Wat (青山公路 – 掃管笏段) is open.
