It take about five minutes to walk up to the temple. The temple was in fact built on a small hill, overlooking Castle Peak Bay.

Sam Shing Temple (三聖廟), originally called Saint Temple (聖廟), was built in 1914 and opened to the public in 1921, it is 96 years old in 2015. It is located at Sam Shing Hui (三聖墟) in Tuen Mun (屯門), facing Castle Peak Bay (青山灣). It was listed as Grade II Historical Building on 26 August 1997.

The outlook of Sam Shing Temple is similar to Kun Yam Temple in Hung Hom (Kun Yum Temple - Hung Hom 紅磡觀音廟) and Tin Hau Temple in Tin Hau (Tin Hau Temple 天后廟 - Tin Hau Temple Road 天后廟). They were of similar age.

In the temple, it worships Confucius (孔子), Buddha (釋迦牟尼) and Lao Zi (老子). It is therefore called Sam Shing Temple, which means three saints (三聖).

There are some detailings at the entrance.

This drum is too antique.

There are also patterns on the pillar.

There is the 'God of Earth' next to the temple.

When the temple was built in early 1910s, on this site, there was a kirin in a cave. This is to set up for this kirin cave.

Please note the name '聖廟' on the surface of this giant container, which means Saint Temple.

On the back of this photo, it is Sam Shing Estate (三聖邨).
