Sham Tseng Commercial New Village (深井商業新村) is at the end of Sham Hong Road (深康路) in Sham Tseng. The houses are mainly one to two storey constructions. There is a stone archway at the entrance of the village, which marked a year '1969'. If so, it is a village with 46 years history.
At the back of the village and up the hill, there is a construction of seven storeys. It is called 'Kowloon Textile Family Dormitory 九龍紗廠眷屬宿舍'. The government is planning to change the use of this dormitory and rent it to the families in need at a reasonable price.

A closer look.
The houses are packed together.
But this one is like a bungalow.
All units are for residential purpose. But it is not known whether all units are occupied by tenants, or whether they are only vacant units.
All alleys have not been blocked and no disgusting dogs block the way.
It is not too far away from Sham Tseng town centre. By walk, it is only about seven minutes.
From the name of the domitory and this village, it is deduced that there was commerical activity in Sham Tseng about 40 years ago.
