When the three-rope binding will change ?

A small hairy crab actually needs to be tied up with three ropes (not by two).
In the past, wasn't it just possible to tie it up with two strings of short-leaved Malacea Galingale? Could it be that today's hairy crabs are more ferocious and powerful than before, and it takes three ropes to restrain this little hairy crab from escaping and attacking people.
