Those were the days (5) When I learned new English words, I told my mother

In kindergarten, there used to be only three subjects: Chinese, English and arithmetics.
Every time the teacher teaches some new English words, I will tell my mother after school.
In fact, in Hong Kong, we have known the importance of English since childhood.
Therefore, many children study English intentionally or unintentionally, and I should be one of them.
For me, English is not a difficult subject, I think it is quite easy, and the test scores are not low.
This may be the reason why I didn't find English difficult in primary and secondary school.
