How much is the Hong Kong custom license plate auction "ELONMUSK" worth?
On January 29, 2023 (the eighth day of the Lunar New Year), the Transport Department held two auctions of customized vehicle registration marks at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition. A total of 240 vehicle registration marks were released for public bidding. Most of the customized license plates in this auction are English names or pinyin combinations of citizens. The most notable one is that someone used the name of the world's richest man "ELONMUSK" as a license plate. It was sold for 11,000 HKD, reflecting that the richest man mark may not be necessarily popular.
