When we encounter unwanted, unsatisfactory, unsatisfying adversity,
remind ourselves,
These pains are always going to happen.
And I'm not alone in suffering,
Everyone will experience some pain, big and small, all kinds of pain,
So what we really need to learn is not to eliminate suffering,
But no longer long for the absence of pain.
The real suffering is not the things themselves,
It's our unwillingness to accept the results that backfired.
When we can accept what has happened,
At the moment of starting to face the treatment,
It's already on the path of letting go.
