There is one supermarket chain, not the four largest ones. They really have their own way of doing business.
In order to increase business, it is normal. They would put frozen meat, sausages, etc. next to the cash register, hoping customers would buy more when they paid, which was a smart move.
Without freezing, though, let the frozen meat fend for itself at room temperature. Will normal customers buy it? Are the people who bought it stupid? Should their strategy continue? Don't they see the problem themselves? If they were themselves, would they buy these frozen meats?
Frozen meat going back and forth at different temperatures will deteriorate the meat quality and breed bacteria. very scary.
